Both of our local Tory MPs voted to allow sewage to be pumped into our major community asset the River Severn!

Recent polls have shown that the majority want tougher action against the Water Companies to stop sewage dumping. At a time when businesses are struggling to survive our hotels and guest houses, restaurants and cafes plus need more tourism but more sewage will hinder them.

Liberal Democrats believe that protecting our environment is a priority, even if the Conservatives are happy to pollute our rivers and coasts. In addition, when the Government allows the huge water companies to pollute, Telford & Wrekin LibDems believe our priority should be helping and supporting local & small businesses to survive and grow.
