Cllr Kim Tonks surveys the existing delipidated Bratton Play Area

Cllr Kim Tonks is pleased to report that the contractor has now been selected to complete the refit of Bratton Play Area, following her campaign.

The work should begin before the end of the year.  The Play Area has been in desperate need of repair for several years. After being told that funding was not available on several occasions, Cllr Tonks and local resident Siobhan Bergman decided to take action with a residents’ petition. With the support of 305 signatories, this was delivered to the Council who agreed in the spring to complete a full refit.

Cllr Tonks wishes to express particular thanks to Rob Stone Instaloft for contributing £5,000 towards the new play area.

Some of the planned equipment includes:

  • Swings including toddler basket swing
  • Junior and toddler multi play tower units
  • All-inclusive roundabout
  • Springers and springer see-saw
  • Play panels
